Saudi Arabia Internet Exchange (SAIX)

SAIX is a government initiative started by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) that targets creating a neutral non-profit Internet Exchange Point in Saudi Arabia , which enables the development of ICT and digital services.


What are Internet Exchange Points

Internet Exchange Points are locations with a switch that facilitate networks and infrastructure providers companies to connect with each other. IP networks can meet, connect, and exchange traffic through Internet Exchange Points directly “Peering”. Peering through IXPs optimizes network performance by reducing latency, number of hubs and enable localization of traffic.
